App Design

UI/UX Design | User testing | User research, 2023

Project Type: Mobile & Web App, Admin Portal

Role: Project Manager | UI/UX Designer

Goal: As the Project Manager and UI/UX Designer for the DMEVS app, my goal was to create a seamless experience for both users and administrators. I developed the user flow and information architecture for the app and admin portal, ensuring efficient functionality. I coordinated closely with backend and frontend developers, conducted rigorous testing (including EV charger integration), and provided detailed feedback to resolve any issues, delivering a polished and functional product.

Pain Point:

Too many EV Charging apps in 2022

In 2022, the EV charging ecosystem was fragmented, with drivers needing multiple apps and accounts from different charging networks.

Solutions:

1. No app download required

Understanding that users often have numerous EV charging apps may be weary of adding more to their phones, we chose to create a web version of our app. This allows users to access the same services and set up a QR code for the web app, enabling them to utilize the charging service without the need to download an app.

2. Streamlined Login Process

To reduce the time spent using the charger, we've simplified the login procedure. Instead of entering an email ID with a password, users can now log in using their phone number. They simply enter their phone number, receive a verification code, and gain access without needing to remember or store login details. This allows for easy access to the charging service anytime, anywhere.

Website Design

Web/UX Design | Website development, 2023

Goal: The objective of this project was to build a comprehensive brand identity and create a user-friendly website for DMEVS, a new entrant in the EV charging industry. Given the unfamiliarity of EV charging vans at the time, I aimed to educate and engage users through visual content, including videos and photos, while promoting the service. I also developed a booking system for the van service and an online shop for EV chargers, ensuring the entire user experience was seamless, from brand introduction to service booking.
